Help a Dog in Need
Meet Akira and Talia, two totally adorable dogs in need of your help! Currently in the care of the Greater Edmonton Animal Rescue Society (GEARS), these loveable pups both require expensive surgeries.
Akira, a total goofball, has lived an arduous life already. This sweet girl has been through surgeries (a tibial-plateau-leveling osteotomy for her knees) and failed adoptions, but maintains a positive attitude and touches the hearts of many.
Talia, a resilient little pup who doesn't let anything get her down, has had a few roadblocks in her little life, an unsuccesful hip dysplasia surgery being one of them. Talia now waits for a second surgery (this time a triple pelvic osteotomy).
The Greater Edmonton Animal Rescue Society not only rescues homeless animals, but also works with local organizations whose residents are no longer able to care for their animals, and educates the public on animal care and the responsibilities of pet ownership. As a no-kill animal rescue, saving the lives of their animals is often an expensive and lengthy undertaking.
If you'd like to help these two cuties, GEARS is currently looking for donations to help cover the cost of each of their surgeries.
