Meet Zoe Pippa Lee

This is Zoe, a shih tzu they estimated is about 3 years old. I found her in a shelter sleeping on a wet cement floor with no toys or blankets. She was matted and filthy. When I asked if the shelter would be grooming her they simply said "we dont do that here." I insisted on taking her to a groomer and bringing her back clean. I wasn't looking for a third dog.I'd gone to the shelter because my cousin wanted one. I already had a shih tzu at home and a jack russell. She was going to be adoptable in a few days and it worked on an auction format for the highest bidder. I went back to take all the dogs toys and treats and she was still there. As soon as she saw me she perked up. I had to do it. I picked her up and she grabbed hold of me on each shoulder so tight! She has fit right into our little family. We found out soon after that she had heartworm and then she got a staph infection. After a few months of treatment she's happy and healthy!
