Meet Zara the Portage Lakes Akita
Very hard to choose one photo of Zara! She seems to always be smiling. Loves people and every where we go people state she's the most beautiful dog they've seen. Photos do not do her justice. She enjoys the outdoors and hikes regularly. Zara raises money for Akita Rescue Groups through her photographs so that those Akitas less fortunate than her can have a better life. She tries to educate people that Akitas, when trained properly, can be loving family member and good canine citizens.

- Age 5
- Dislikes Cats and other dogs that are off leash
- Foods Salmon, fish, lobster, crab, basically all seafood, sweet potatoes, and beef
- Pastimes Eating, sleeping, hiking - not necessary in that order
