Meet Maddie

The bell on the patio door is not a left over Christmas decoration but something my wife taught Maddie in a couple of minutes. She rings the bell with her nose if she needs to go out. It bugged the kids so they ripped it off the door. Maddie is my third Airedale but first female. My wife found her on our local SPCA website. She was on the verge of being euthanized because of her white patches. Sometimes Airedales are born with these patches but breeders generally kill puppies with any white.
