Meet Chessie

This is my Cockapoo, Chessie. I have had her for almost a year now, and I adopted her from the local pound. She is approximately three years old now. She is the light of my life and is the best dog I have ever seen. Everyone loves her. She is very calm and loves to snuggle. She has been through a lot. When I adopted her, it appeared as if she had been frostbitten (her nipples were all black, and one fell off), she has a hind leg that she favors at times – we suspect she was hit by a car -- and worst of all, she had heartworms. After a year of love and healing, Chessie is in great health, and even recently ran a 5-K9, with me, which was a 5-K run for dogs and their owners, to raise money for an animal charity. We won fourth place! Well, there were only six entries, but she still did great! Thanks for the opportunity to share!
