Meet Backup

We found Backup at local hiking trail. Whether we rescued him or he rescued us can be argued both ways. During that hike, the moment I wanted to adopt him, was not when he licked me, it was when he bit my finger by accident. I was feeding him some beef jerky. He took the beef jerky from my hand nicely, but he still smelled the oils on my hand. He accidentally bit my finger, but he looked at me apologetically and then stepped back to say sorry. After that, I knew I wanted him in our lives.
