Ball1.jpg

This seemingly harmless ball was the bane of my existence last night. I originally brought the Squeezz ball home with the intention of annoying Jeremy (one of my favourite pastimes), but my plan backfired. While he slept restfully through the night, Roxy kept me up until the wee hours of the morn with her constant and unrelenting squeaking, scratching and whining.

You see her favourite game is to capture the ball, chew the squeak right out of it, and then paw at it until it rolls

Huffpost.jpg

Don't be alarmed, it's not a big deal or anything, but Roxy and Cash were featured on the Huffington Post today!! A few weeks back they did a call out for photos of your dogs at work in honour of today being 'Take Your Dog to Work' day, so I sent them this gem from our most recent trip to the office.

Well, it looks like the folks at the post couldn't resist their charm because they selected them for today's gallery of pups working hard for their money! (Or treats, I suppose).

Cash shoot 2.JPG

Cash and I had a very busy day on Friday. We were live on location for the cover photo shoot for Modern Dog's 10th anniversary fall issue! Cash is the only of my three dogs who hasn't made it into the magazine yet, so it seems only fair that he gets the cover, and with that handsome face it would be a sin not to!

I was so impressed with Cash's behaviour, after settling

Finally got the chance to test out the lovely duvet I received from The Olive Crow. Cash obviously approves. I like the fact that it looks great while being durable enough to withstand outdoor use. It's super easy to remove for laundering, and its thick canvas-type material repels spills and dirt quite well!

The great thing about a duvet cover is you can stuff it with whatever you like. I used an

When it comes to preventative and medical treatments for my dogs, I always try to find a natural, effective, and affordable at-home option before running to my vet, credit card in hand. As a dog blogger, I feel that it's my duty to share some of the cost-saving remedies I've discovered over my nearly 10 years as a dog guardian. Please keep in mind that I'm not a vet, nor do I pretend to be one. I know my dogs very well and consider their weights/habits/reactions when choosing to administer

Chance towel.jpg

At first glance you might think this photo is adorable, and technically it is. A seemingly lovey Chance cozied up in a towel, gazing up at me adoringly while I snap his pic. In reality, we were at the vet and we were forced to restrain him with the towel because the poor Doc couldn't withstand anymore of his vicious attacks. What had she done to provoke such a reaction? She was listening to his lungs with a stethoscope, trying to determine whether or not his recent respiratory infection

hat.jpg

As those of you who've followed my blog from the beginning know, Chance wears a hat every year to celebrate his birthday. To mark this special occasion, his 11th birthday and second anniversary in our pack, we went for a London "Sherlock Holmes" look. C'est tres chic. I did sustain several bites trying to get the hat on (hence the poor photo quality) but one must suffer for their art.

Today I decided to bring Roxy and Cash with me to the Modern Dog offices (Chance can't come due to his propensity for biting). We started the day off with some serious graphic design work on an imaginary computer (pictured above) and decided to give ourselves a much deserved break at the beach.

Roxy didn't care that she didn't have her bikini, she went right in.

Dog duvet.jpg

I received a pleasant surprise in the mail today, a beautiful zig zag dog bed duvet from The Olive Crow! I'm so excited to try this out with one of the dogs' existing beds, or maybe I'll stuff it with memory foam to create a luxurious orthopedic nest for my senior buds! Either way, I can't wait to add a pop of colour and pattern into my living room with this stylish and durable cover. More pics to come once I get this home

BlackDogs.jpg

This month, Best Friends Animal Society is hosting their second annual Back in Black event promoting the adoption of black pets all throughout May. Personally, I cannot understand why there is a necessity for such a cause. To me there is nothing more striking than a shiny and sleek black pittie, or a proud and elegant Rottweiler. However, 54% of shelters report that their dogs experience black dog syndrome; the case of black pets being overlooked for adoption while their lighter coloured
