Tuesday

A national foundation has awarded us a challenge grant of $50,000 for specialized medical services. To receive the funding, we need to raise $50,000 by June 30, 2016. We’re off to a great start having already raised $33,000, but still need $17,000 to meet the challenge. I hope you will help us take advantage of this special challenge by making a lifesaving donation today.  Every gift brings us closer to our goal!

While our veterinary staff does extraordinary work, there are times we need to rely on services from specialists to save the lives of the animals in our care.  Take Tuesday for example, she required a highly specialized heart surgery that was beyond our veterinary team’s capabilities. Thanks to your support, we were able to partner with a local specialist to give Tuesday the intricate procedure that forever changed her life.

Not only did Tuesday recover beautifully from her surgery, she has since been adopted by an amazing family and is leading a happy, healthy life. Without speciality care, this wouldn’t have been possible. Tuesday is alive because of donors like you!

But other animals are still in need of specialized care. I hope you will help us meet the challenge of caring for our most vulnerable animals. It’s only with your help that we will be able to do twice as much for animals like Tuesday:

  • $25 becomes $50 and covers antibiotics essential for healing.
  • $50 becomes $100 and pays for post-operative monitoring and pain medication for recovering animals.
  • $100 becomes $200 and covers surgical supplies and equipment.
  • $250 becomes $500 and enables us to outsource the more difficult cases to orthopedic surgeons, ophthalmologists and other veterinary specialists.

As the number of animals we shelter increases, so does the range of medical concerns we need to treat. This year alone, we anticipate caring for at least 30,000 animals many of whom will require medicine, surgery or specialized treatments to receive a second chance. Because of you, we can help them heal. Thank you for considering this special request and for saving the most vulnerable animals in our community.
