Closing Report for CIPS 2014
The 18th China International Pet Show (CIPS 2014) was successfully held at the China International Exhibition Center (New Venue) in Beijing on 17th – 20th November 2014. With 946 exhibitors from 20 countries and regions around the world and 80,000 sqm display area, CIPS’14 once again broke its previous record and reached a historic new high.
As can be seen from this year’s show, the China pet industry is growing strongly together with China’s strong economy, and becoming the newest emerging power globally; and the China pet market’s ceaseless maturation has attracted big brands’ attention in China and overseas.
The Important Event for World Pet Industry
CIPS has become an important trade and exchange platform internationally, and an industry professionals’ annual event. This year, exhibitors are from 20 countries and regions and buyers are from 70 countries around the world.
This year’s show displayed items covering all areas of the pet industry. According to the statistics, of the 946 exhibitors, there were 542 pet supply exhibitors (57.3%), 373 aquarium supply exhibitors (39.4%), and 31 general exhibitors (3.3%). Thus CIPS fully represents the pet industry’s latest developments.
More and more international brands and Chinese brands exhibitors have more and more chosen CIPS as their platform to release new products. Meanwhile, more organizations and institutes use CIPS to hold important meetings and events. As we can see, CIPS is playing more and more important role in terms of exchange and trade in the world pet industry.
Strong Demand from Chinese Market
Along with high speed of Chinese economic development, Chinese pet industry has developed rapidly in the past decades. The expected annual growth rate remains at 20% around in the years to come. The strong China market demand for high quality products draws attention from not only Chinese brands, but also international brands. During CIPS 2014, many companies held new product release conferences, or join the new product shows: Pets and Beauties.
China Pet Industry Forum shares great experience and cutting edge information with a large number of domestic agents and distributors, and has received excellent results.
Professional Platform Advantages
In order to further promote the latest development concepts and guide the sound and sustainable development of the market, a series of activities has been arranged during the show period, for example, China Pet Industry Forum , the Seawater Landscaping Contest, Chinese Native Fish Exhibition, 2014 China Aquatic Plant Master, China International Shrimp Contest, 2014 World Cup International Pet Groomers’ Competition.
For the first time, the organizer provided the exhibitors with a new way to show their new products. It is the event of Pets and Beauties. It is a creative platform to present the newest, most innovative pet products by fashion models with style; grand performance has given a great visual enjoyment to all audiences. The twice-a-day show successfully attracted visitors and media’s great attention. Exhibitors also showed interests, many of them ordered next year’s show outright.

New Venue, New Era
To cater for CIPS’s developing scale and higher requirements for facilities, the organizers have decided to move CIPS to the National Exhibition and Convention Center in Shanghai in 2015.
The newly built National Exhibition and Convention Center, located in Hongqiao, Shanghai, is scientifically designed, with complete facilities, and is conveniently located. We believe CIPS will be upgraded and come into a new development stage. We will work with all the cooperators and exhibitors to build the world class CIPS, with first class scale, industry influence, power, service, and the exhibition experience. CIPS will become a pet industry event you can’t miss!
