Modern Dog – Dog of the Week Photo Contest Rules and Regulations

Every Monday, the previous week’s top-voted dog will be featured as Dog of the Week on the moderndogmagazine.com homepage. Each Cat of the Week photograph, regardless of number of votes received, will also have a chance to appear in Modern Dog magazine, as judged by Modern Dog. Once selected as a Dog of the Week winner, voting for that photo entry will be closed and the winning photograph will be moved to the Modern Dog photo contest winner’s page.

You may enter as many photos as you like (the entered photo must, obviously, be of a dog or puppy) and are encouraged to promote voting for your dog through various streams, including word of mouth, email, blogging, and social networking (Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Google+ etc.) You can vote for each cat once every 12 hours. Show your support of your favourite dogs by sharing their photo entries through social media. Votes made from computers on a shared Internet connection are counted as a single vote (i.e one vote per office). To be considered a legitimate vote, a voter must visit the photo contest page of the entered cat on moderndogmagazine.com and click on the vote button. Therefore votes exceeding pageviews will not be considered legitimate votes. All photos entered in the photo contest regardless of number of votes have a chance to appear in moderndog magazine. Photo selection for inclusion in the magazine is solely at the discretion of Modern Dog. Modern Dog reserves the right to verify, in its sole judgment, winner eligibility. Anyone cheating will be disqualified. Modern Dog reserves the right to change these contest rules at any time. Inappropriate photos and comments will be deleted. Good luck!

Assignment of Rights

By submitting photographic images to Modern Dog Inc., you grant Modern Dog Inc. a perpetual, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, modify, publish, distribute, and otherwise exercise all copyright and publicity rights with respect to those photographic images at its sole discretion, including storing it on moderndog servers and incorporating it in other works in any media now known or later developed including, without limitation, published books. If you do not wish to grant moderndog these rights, it is suggested that you do not submit photographic images. Modern Dog reserves the right to select, edit, and arrange submissions, and to remove images from the moderndog website at any time at its sole discretion.

Entrants warrant they own all rights to the photo they are submitting. Entrants will indemnify and hold Modern Dog and its affiliates harmless from and against any and all loss, damage, costs and other expense arising out of claims, whatever their nature, resulting directly or indirectly from breach of this warranty.
