Baking soda is a pet loverโ€™s best friend. This smell-absorbing multi-tasker is safe for animals, kids, and use in the kitchen. Because baking soda is a pure, natural product and also a food, it is non-toxic, unlike many other household cleaners. And it naturally disarms bad smells.ย

โ€œBaking soda โ€˜attacksโ€™ the molecule responsible for the smell,โ€ explains Anthony Rojas, a Georgia Institute of Technology chemistry professor. โ€œIn doing so, it steals away an atom, thus chemically changing the structure of the odour molecule into one that smells differently.โ€ AKA, goodbye unwanted doggie smells!ย

These DIY baking soda hacks, courtesy of Arm & Hammer Baking Soda, tackle everything from stain and odour removal to dry bathing, toy cleaning, and even relieving bee sting pain!ย
