I found Riley on CraigsList back in 2010. He was dumped at a shelter that was full and the teen volunteer at the shelter texted her Mom and was told to bring him home. The family had an infant and two large dogs plus they'd just moved to the Tampa area. So, when I saw him posted, the only one with a phone number, I called right away. I spoke with the woman for about 15 minutes and she said, well, if you want to meet me half way to Weekie Wachee at the 7-Eleven, I'll call to cancel the two families who were scheduled for the following morning and he's yours! From the moment he arrived at my home, he stole my heart and melded seamlessly with my other two Doxies, Rusty & Rex. We travelled up and down the east coast of the US from Florida to Vermont and back again. He surely was one of a kind and I miss him dearly! And yet, I have another angel on my shoulder watching out for me!
