Meet Zach

Zach is the real "Man" of the house. He rules the roost! My 75 pound Goldren Retriever is afraid of his 3.2 pound "bad self" and gives him lots of space when he struts into the room. Whenever we take the dogs out in public everyone wants to pet him and he soaks it up like a spunge! He gives us laughter and love 10 times his size. When I got Zach he was 2 years old and had many fear issues. He hated everyone and would run away and hide when someone came to the house. I took him everywhere I could and let people pet him and hold him. I socialized him for 2 years and finally he started to come around. Now, at 10 years of age, when someone comes to the house they are barked and growled at until he has a chance to sniff your feet. Once this ritual is complete and you are sitting down look out. Don't pet him or you will never get rid of him! I am a long distance truck driver and he goes with me most of the time. He loves being with me and the semi is like a big jungle gym specifically for his pleasure. He has a "basket seat" attached to the back of the passenger seat so he can relax and watch the world go by, a large bed in the back (sleeper bunk)for when he gets tired and a warm dash to lounge in the sun.
