Meet YMA

Yma is a beautiful dog that I found on the streets near my apartment in Lima, Peru. She was living on the streets, abandoned by a former owner, for approximately 1 year or so. Thats what I've heard anyway that from people that had seen her around in the neighborhood. The first time I laid eyes on her, I knew that I had to have her. She was malnourished, with more than half of her hair gone, with raw skin. But had the most beautiful, sweet eyes. It was a struggle getting her help. She was of course scared and didn't trust me. She would be aggressive, snarl, then run away. It'd try to get closer, but she'd keep her distance. So, I went to a nearby veterenarian's and got a collar and some food. It took about an hour or two, but with the help of some kind strangers, we finally calmed her down enough to get her to the vets. All of the work paid off though in the end. I couldn't have asked for a more loveable, amazing dog! I think you can see from the photos that she is very loved and happy in her home! I would be so honored if she were featured in your pages!
