Meet Wally
Who says Peks can't swim?! This is Wally, a Pekingese. At 5 months old he went to Tofino for the first time. He was pulling wildly for the water as soon as we hit the beach. I was hesitant to let him get too close but he was insistent. After a few sessions sniffing the tide rolling in and out, Wally decided that he needed to get up close and personal with the Pacific. Turns out he's an incredible swimmer! The look on his face is one of pure joy in this picture. Given his raw talent and love for the water, I can't help but think he must have a little Newfie in him.
