Meet Vito (The General)
About the photo: Ever since I rescued Vito when he was 4 months old, he has been obsessed with rock climbing, loves to hop boulders at the beach from one to the other, and be at the highest point anywhere he is. In this photo, The General rests atop Kelso Dunes in the Mojave Desert. Roughly 1hr 40 min walk through small dunes to the main dune, then another 1hr up the peak - about a 720 foot/219 meters climb to the top. In deep sand. Not bad for a ten year old General.
