Meet Tucker

Tucker came into Cavalier Rescue in December 2008. He was pretty thin, not much fur, arthritic from really bad hips and lame, and sweet but kind of shut down. Absolutely nothing is known about his prior life before ending up in an Arkansas shelter. Thought to be around 6-7 years old. After enduring a 24-hour trip cross country from Arkansas to Danbury in a snow storm, he was fostered with a wonderful family and I adopted him on February 7th. This photo was taken at the end of August at a rescue party (30 Cavaliers) hosted by Tucker's foster mom--he is a happy, healthy boy with Cavalier ears and fur, and relatively pain free through really good food, anti-inflammatory meds and arthritis meds. He shares my life with Casey, my 4-year old tri-color Cavalier.
