Meet Shani
Shani is named for Lord Shani, the Hindu deity. Since she is femaile, I address her as "Lady Shani of Taos." She was adopted May 2010 from Stray Hearts Animal Shelter in Taos -- her shelter name was Danielle. Being what one could call a "ranch dog," she might prefer to herd cattle or sheep, but Shani's job is to take me for lots of walks around the Town of Taos, thus keeping me healthy.
