Meet Shadow the Wolf

Shadow is a 3 week old Arctic Gray Wolf Pup who chose me to be her mommy when her wolf mom was the victim of a vicious farmer who shot her when she escaped the rescue and was sitting on the side of the road watching the cows in his field. Her daddy had decided to allow the rescue owner to finally come get the pups when it was near dark and mommy did not return. He had been howling all day and had no response and was beside himself pacing with 4 hungry pups that he had no way to feed. The rescue owner was allowed to go in and get the pups and handed them up to me when Shadow was handed up she dug her nails in my jacket so hard that I would have broke her nails if I tried to pass her off. She snuggled next to me and the owner let me take her home. On the way, she was crying and hungry since she had not eaten all day so i stopped at a gas station and bought a bottle of milk and cut a styrofoam coffee cup and warmed the milk on the heater in the car then stuck her snoot in it at 2.5 weeks old she was weaned & became my Shadow. what was so strange is Shadow was born exactly 20 years from the day my soulmate died in a car wreck killed by a drunk driver.
