Meet Savior

Savior was thrown from a truck on to the interstate in Memphis during rush hour traffic. Mario Chiozza, an animal lover and activist, happened to see it, happened to have a dog catcher's pole in his truck and happened to be able to save her from the traffic. Rushing to get to his vet, Dr. Greg Shaw, Mario was able to get her there in time. It was touch and go but her will to live, Dr. Shaw's skills, and Mario's love pulled her through. It wasn't being thrown from the truck that caused her injuries, they were from either being fought or used as a bait dog. We can only imagine what a terrible life she had before, from fights to being bred over and over. We shutter to think of the life her pups must be living. Savior made it through that terrible night, survived heart worms, and having her damaged eye removed but is the happiest, most loving dog you could ever meet.
