Sasha

Alaska Husky

Meet Sasha

Sasha found me while on assignment at a remote village clinic in Southeast Alaska this winter. She is roughly a year and a half old, a survivor, and exceptionally personable dog! She was a free range canine and had a litter of puppies under a unfriendly house, which I became aware of shortly after arriving in town. A new friend and I found homes for all her pups, and I was lucky enough to be given permission to adopt Sasha. The family she belonged to had a house full of children that needed to be their focus right now. My husband and I have been socializing her to city life, which has been challenging at times, but she is worth it. Having run free so long, she is creative and full of energy and curiousity... a natural. We live near the beach and she loves to simply swim out in large circles like an otter. We feel very lucky to have her and our other rescue husky mix, Slipper, in our lives.
