Meet Roxy

Roxy is an extra large Cockapoo Shih Tzu. She was born on 4/12/03, and entered our family when she was twelve weeks old at 6lbs. She is now around 39lbs, we believe the Poodle part of her was a standard sized poodle, but we are very pleased with her size. She has quite a lovely demeanor. She is extremely caring and playful, not to mention protective over her people (her family). She was diagnosed with diabetes in late 2009, and has reached an acceptable blood sugar level with the help of insulin shots twice daily. Roxy loves car rides, going on walks, running with her sister (Steph), and lazing around on the sofa, chair, or anything else she may find comfortable. Make sure your mouth is closed because Roxy loves giving kisses on the lips! She also understands a little bit of Spanish! Say, "dame un beso" to her and she'll give you a kiss. She responds the same way to the English command, too, "give me a kiss." Roxy has a very big crush on one of our neighbor dogs, Champ, and she finds every opportunity to catch up to him on walks if she smells his scent along our path. =) You can't stop a love like that!
