Meet Phoenix

Phoenix brings a deep meaning to the phrase, "a dog is a man's best friend." Phoenix entered my life on Oct. 9th, 2002, as I anxiously waited to see if her mother would deliver me the dog of my dreams (a blue merle, female, Aussie), when at last she arrived! I fell in love instantly! I would visit, everyday, for 8 straight weeks, until finally, the day came when her breeder said, "She's all yours!" Phoenix has become my best friend! A friend who is always happy to see me, no matter how the day went. I have spent more time with this dog in the past 8 years, than any one human being. We've played agility, flyball, and frisbee, as well as learned obedience, rally-o, and sheep herding on our family farm. We do all these things for fun...but, our favorite thing is to learn new tricks. Phoenix knows a list of tricks a mile long. Phoenix truly has been the dog of my dreams, and my best friend in life! As she lay her with her head on my lap, as I type away, I can assure you, "The love for a dog is just as complicated as the love for another human being. If you've never loved a dog, then you'd never understand." ~unknown~
