Meet Maverick

This Maverick. He is a 7 month old boxer mix and a farely new addition to my family. I had to put down my beloved pet about 8 months ago. I have been looking for a dof for a few months and came across Maverick on a site called dogs in danger. He was at a kill shelter and had 2 days to live. I tried to adopt him on the spot but was denied because someone that day had already adopted him. A week later I found him again on craigslist. A woman named Jill who worked for a rescue had adopted him to help him find a home. I contacted her that day and by that weekend met him at a dog park. Two days later she came with him to my house and did a home check. After approval he stayed with me and we have been having fun every since for about 6 weeks now. He is such a character. Chases his tail, loves water attacks the water coming out of the sprinkler, from the house even was biting at the rain yesterday lol. Loves any toy that squeaks or a kong bone I got him a couple weeks ago. Loves to cuddle and be on your lap or by your side. Can't go to the bathroom and expect him not to be waiting at the door when I come out. He loves to go for walks and has so much energy and personality. His favorite trick is to play dead and does it so good. Should send a video in lol. As for me my name is katy and we live in Northglenn Colorado. I am 25 and have always owned dogs and been a dog lover. Even worked at a dog daycare for a year. But I love having my own dog or my boyfriends two dogs to come home to. Even if he does not win a contest he is the most pretty mutt I have ever met so smart and loveable and just want to share him and our story with the world. Thank you very much.
