Meet Luna Ontkean
My lovely pup is two years old, She is mainly black but has greay, brown and even blond(when she's out in the sun alot) throughout her coat. At about 6 months she was diagnosed with Exocrine Pancreatic Insufficiency. This means Luna has to have medication with every meal and special low fat food as well for the rest of her life. This is sometimes a very serious condition and can greatly reduce the lifespan of the animal. In a lot of cases if it is not caught early it is fatal. Luckily Luna responded very well to treatment and we have both just arrived back home after travelling through 16 countries in 6 months. Luna did great and her silliness and gentle nature made for some very pleasant encounters with local people of every county we visited. Earlier in her life she showed all the signs and intelligence needed to become a search and rescue dog but unfortunately it was around this time she was diagnosed with her condition so she could not complete her training. She still enjoys doing mock searches in the forest and her favourite thing in the world is swimming in the ocea,(any ocean) and chasing birds:).
