Meet Hank

Hank, also known as, "Hanky Doodle Bug", is a sweet and extremely loveable little boy. I guess you could say Hank is a rescued pup. One day, my mother-in-law took two of her other dogs to the vet, one of which is also a Dachshund. The veterinarian asked my mother-in-law if she was interested in taking in another Dachshund. Her story was this: The veterinarian's neighbors had two weenie dogs. The female weenie dog they owned got pregnant and had puppies. The man who owned her was angry that his dog was having more puppies. Horribly, he began ending all of the baby Dachshund's lives, and the wife scooped up Hank and told that awful man he was NOT taking this one's life. Hank was supposed to be my father-in-law's, but him and I.. it was love at first sight. He is always on my heels everywhere I go. He loves all other dogs, and he loves BEING chased. He says he doesn't want to do the chasing! He loves car rides, sleeping in my lap, and he even sleeps under the covers in between my feet every night. When I wake up in the morning, he's got his head on my pillow like a human. His favorite treats are Beggin' Strips. I can shake the bag and yell, "Bacon, bacon, bacon!", similar to the woman on the Beggin' Strips commercial, and boy, does he come-a-runnin'! I do not know what I would do had I never met this sweet little fellow.
