Meet Gabby

I adopted Gabby at 18 months. She was a rescue dog who was the victom of the chain imbedded in her neck. Then, 7 years later, she was diagnosed with soft tissue sarcoma on her front and back legs . As you can see, her hind leg still has the hair missing from the radiation therapy (summer 2010). With the rough start she had, I had to make sure that I did everything possible with her cancer diagnosis. She was a trooper! Every day she ran up to her therapist, tail wagging, to begin her treatment. Her Oncologist said she had never seen such a happy dog go through radiation therapy. Her happy spirit has never wavered from the first day she came home to live me to enduring surgery and radiation treatments. She is such an inspiration to this day.
