Meet Freckles

My roommate rescued her mother, Hope, when she was running around outside our house. It was a matter of 2 weeks before she gave birth to 10 healthy puppies (7 male & 3 female). At the time I was considering getting a dog and the fact that 10 puppies kind of just fell into our laps... maybe it was ment to be. So many friends of our wanted one of the little guys, I thought I would just wait and see if she was picked. I tried to spend time with Freckles... But not enough to let myself get attached (just in case she did go to another home). Then once she was about three months old...we made it official... Just the 2 of us went on our 1st trip to San Francisco so she could meet some of my friends & their dogs. We all went to Ocean Beach, so Freckles could check out the ocean for the 1st time. When we arrived, her paws hit the sand & see saw the water... she took off running... then she stopped & ran back to me. She was jumping on & around me. It was almost as if she was saying, "Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! this is so cool...i love it!" Then she took off again to run & play with the other pups. It was at that very moment that we would start developing the bond that we have today. I often think back to before she was in my life & can't even imagine a day going by with out her in it!!!
