Meet Frank Lou

Hi! I'm Frankie :) A lot of people ask me about my background and why I decided to become a Therapy Dog, so here's how it all began... I was living on the streets of Echo Park for quite some time when one day I saw this really nice looking guy riding a skateboard and decided to follow him home. I was really shaggy and smelly but he let me hang out. As soon as I met his girlfriend and the three of us were together, I knew I finally found a family! My parents took me to the vet and found out I was a Golden Doodle (Golden Retriever + Poodle = me). This made everyone really happy because I'm hypoallergenic and my dad is allergic to most dogs. The vet also gave me a birthday of 8.8.08, I'm 2! My mom is the best, she really is...her name is Kristen Best :) She thinks I was sent to her...I think I just got lucky! She also thinks I'm clairvoyant, I can't argue with her on that. She read a book on how to communicate telepathically with me and that's when she learned about Therapy Dogs. I knew what she was thinking and I loved it! I started studying for my test right away, my mommy filled out my spcaLA Animal Assisted Therapy (AAT) application and the rest is history!
