Ella

Meet Ella

Wow! I could tell you so much about Ella and how much she means to me and how, I hope, her story has helped others. Ella is living with syringomyelia an inherited health condition that is becoming more known in the cavalier world. I have written a blog about her battle but enough about that because syringomyelia does not define her. It just makes her more special because even though she may have painful moments, she is always having a smile on her face and so happy to be around other. Ella is a social butterfly and I can't keep her away from greeting a person or dog she meets on a walk. She loves day care and playing with her best friend Kennedy. Ella loves chasing a ball but we have to work on her bringing it back to me! She absolutely loves birds even though she will never catch one. I guess that is the spaniel in her. She loves the beach and will try to hunt for ghost crabs or get in the water an hope to catch a fish. She discovered crabs recently when we caught some and had them in a bucket ready to cook them. Even though the bucket became empty, that did not stop her from running to it to see if anything was inside. She may be a pampered pooch but she does not mind getting dirty. The most important thing is she is the best companion I have. Even though she may need support, she will always know and offer comfort if I have a bad day. The only bad quality is that people fall in love with her and if they keep her, they don't want to give her back.
