Meet Dani Sue

We adopted little Dani Sue from Santuary Animal Rescue in Jan. 2012 when she was only 5 weeks old! These wonderful people rescued her from a terrible man (puppy mill). She was malnorished and only 2 lbs.! Weened way too early from her mommy. Poor baby had patches of fur missing all over her from not enough nutrition and starving. Santuary called her "Patches". We knew the second we saw her photo that she was ours. She was the size of a squirll when we brought her home. I took 2 months off work to care for her. Told my husband I was on "maternity leave". She ate 6 tiny meals a day until she was big enough to handle 3 average meals a day. Our sweet little Dani Sue is 1 year old now and a whopping 19 lbs! She is still the most adorable little package I've ever seen! She is tiny but LOUD!! She has no problem hanging with the big beagles. She rules the roost in this home and keeps her 2 big sisters (beagle/jack russell) in line! We could not imagine our world without our sweet little Dani Sue! So thankful we were chosen to be her parents! All dogs are special but a rescue is extra special! RESCUE!! RESCUE!! RESCUE!!
