Meet Cariña & Red

Cariña and Red, sister and brother from the same litter, were abandoned on a highway, in the south. My daughter, Monique, a veterinarian rescued them when they are 3 years old. I adopted them. Cariña, my black girl, after a knee operation, had to stay- put, in a crate. She cries and resists. I place her on the bed. Red, her brother, came and slept behind her, to make sure that no one would touch her. He stayed in this position, and with his paw around her, day and night.
