Meet Buddy Somers

Buddy was given to me last year by my husband a few months after Tripper (my other baby) died of cancer. She was a germand shepherd chow mix with 3 legs. I was going through a hard time with her (tripper's) death. I was lucky to have her in my life for 15 years although she was 19 years old when she died. During the same time our only son graduated from high school and moved out. As a homemaker my life was turned upside down and I was going into a slump. A few months went by and my husband suprised me with Buddy. As cute as he is, it wasn't exactly love at first sight. I was still in pain. Another few months went by and I found out how persist long haired chihuahuas can be. With his playfulness and unconditional love he made me love him. It was like, he knew I was his and he wasn't going to stop until I knew it too. He's not like the typical chihuahua. He loves meeting new people and other dogs. He is so outgoing. He loves the dog park and taking walks. On the other hand he does own the characteristic of a chihuahua when it comes to my 2 other dogs (german shepherd and pitbull) by thinking he's the boss. But even with that one flaw, he fits perfect into our family. He loves to box with his front paws while stand on his hind legs. It's cute when he grooms everyone including the cat. His favorite thing to do is eat. He eats everything. I have not found one thing he will not eat. Well as you can tell he is the joy of my life mainly becaused he saved me.
