Meet Benji
We got Benji after my grandfather passed away and a friend of the family's dog had just had puppies. We named him after my grandfather, G. Benjamin L. Benji is addicted to licking people and is extremely jealous if our other dog or cats get attention, or even if our family members pay more attention to each other than him. Usually he tries to squirm his way up into the cuddling/petting session and sometimes, when the cat says it's ok, he cuddles with her and she will rub her face against his. He likes to be half on and half off of the couch a lot, and positions himself with his front paws up on the top of the couch with his back paws on the cushions so he can just sit and look out the window. In the summer, he loves swimming in the pool and can dive for objects up to 8 feet deep! He also thinks he's a human most of the time and was stealing my spot on the bed at the time of this photo. He often gets in the position or steals spots in our beds, and if you ask him to move over so you can get in, you may see him do a little "wiggle" movement to let you know he's listening and he is technically moving, but he's not really moving over for you. The only real way to get him to move is to tickle the hairs on the bottom of his feet and watch him kick like a jackrabbit until he finally gives in and moves.
