Meet Atlas

"Atlas" is the sunshine of my life, hence why i always sing that stevie wonder song when he's around, which is quite often. I was in south texas in a bad area and didn't need another dog, i already had 2. He was so starved and cowered at any sound. this family of about 7 all came out of their shanty house and gave me a hard time about taking the dog. he had no collar and they told me we can't afford to feed him. so, of course they were happy to give him up for twenty dollars. this happened on 9-11-2002, the first yr, anniversary of the 9-11 tragedy. There was a hard working search/rescue dog named "Atlas" during 9-11, so i named him after him. i've had dogs my entire life and don't like to say i have a fav., but i DO. My Atlas has taught me and my 2 kids so much about his breed and those related, most of all, ALOT about ourselves. He's around 10 now and getting more gray around his muzzle.
