Meet Amber

Amber was born on May 2, 2011. I adopted her from a home shelter, which rescues dogs from kill shelters. When I met Amber, she was rescued with a litter of Shih tzu Poodles; and she was the only "odd ball" in her pack. She was not as energetic, she wasn't as playful, yet she was the one to win my heart. Little did I know, this calm, shy, not so playful act would come to an end, very quickly. Amber automatically made herself at home. She is one of the msot spoiled pups I've ever met. She stays with her mommy ( me); however, Grandma (my mother) picks her up every day from my house, and cares for her, until I get home from work. She is one of the most energetic, loving, and fiesty dogs I have met. She is my companion, my child, my everything. Although I adopted her mostly on impulse, the second Amber came into my life/ or me to hers, I know I have changed as a person. Anything I do, revolves around Amber. As an only child, I always put myself first; now it is Amber, then me. Amber is not much of a cuddler, she has too much excitement built up inside. She does not really like long car rides, she develops a little bit of anxiety whenever we go on car rides. She loves dog parks and socializing with kids. She is very particular with which dogs she will become friendly with.
