Meet Alexa
Alexa is a 3 year old German Shepherd. I can't put into words what this dog means to me I truly deeply love her with all of my heart I have owned dogs before her that I loved but not like this she is always there for me and throughout our journey together she has taught me many things she showed me what true love is. My mother took this picture of us one morning who is disabled with rheumatoid arthritis collapsed/bulging/ruptured discs and neuropathy thankfully she can still walk. So I trained Alexa to help her, she will pick up any item off of the floor that she knows is out of place walk up to one of us to ask where she should put it she will either put it in the trash on the table or in a drawer and shuts it with her paw. If she hears my Mother drop something Alexa will jump up from a deep sleep to get it for her with no thought of reward. She also enjoys helping us look for things we have lost. Everyday I wake up with her by my side. What more could I ask for in life? Materialistic things come and go, they break, friends can betray you... Sometimes it hurts but at the end of the day I have Alexa and my Mother. This bond is forever and no one can take that away from me.
