Meet Ace

Ace is a Black Lab puppy my husband and I found out in the snow and cold , one January evening when we were out on our walk . It was -17 degrees outside , snowy and windy ....... so cold we didn't even take our own dogs out on the walk . Ace was no older than 9 weeks old , just a puppy not long weaned from his Mom. Lost or abandoned , cold and scared ..... we brought him home , bathed and fed him to warm him up. Contacted the local vet's and dog pound , incase someone had lost him and was looking for him. Fortunately for me , no one ever called looking for him so he gained a new home with us and our 2 children and my husband's Brittanies. He took to me right away and wouldn't settle until he could curl up on my feet ....... he stole our hearts and has become my companion and best friend ! He is now 1 - 1/2 years old and enjoys going everywhere with me. As a puppy he was terrified of vehicles , outside of them , or inside ( we will never know if he was tossed out of one or nearly run over by one the night we found him ) but his desire to go with me slowly overcame his fear of cars and now jumps happily and easily into the car to go whereever we are headed off to. I'm sure he hopes the lake for a swim or the ice cream shop for a treat !!! He's become the love of my life and I'm sure glad we decided to go for our walk that cold snowy January night !
