Wag Tags and compassionate capitalism
Wag Tags are a pretty ingenious invention – a noise-free, virtually un-losable dog tag with more room for text than a standard tag. They are a bar of text, with enough room to fit phone numbers, emails, twitter handles, addresses, or whatever other information would be best to get your dog back home if he gets lost, that threads onto your dog’s standard collar. It’s a pretty great system to start with, and factor in the companies “compassionate capitalism” policy where they donate as much as they possibly can (roughly around 20% of their gross profit per sale), while remaining a viable business. They achieve this through their donation matching program where Wag Tags matches $1 for every $2 donated to any of the approved shelters. With a great product and an admirable goal – this is the kind of business we love to see!
