Make Cupcakes and Save Animals!
Get baking for a good cause
Dust off your apron and get baking for a good cause! February 29th is National Cupcake day, and while you could spend your day indulging in sweets, why not add a little philanthropy to the mix? The fourth annual National Cupcake Day for SPCAs and Humane Societies encourages seasoned and novice bakers alike to break out their baking skills to support animal welfare. Proceeds from the event go to SPCAs and humane societies across the country, finding homes for surrendered, neglected or abused animals, and providing emergency care to sick or injured animals. Still not convinced? Last year British Columbia alone raised nearly $150,000!
Here’s how to get involved:
1. Register for free at www.nationalcupcakeday.ca and select your charity of choice.
2. Register before Jan. 31 and raise $50 and be entered to win a KitchenAid Stand Mixer.
3. Plan your National Cupcake Day™ party for home, work, school or wherever you think people would love to eat your cupcakes.
