Andis Selects Champion Dog as Model

Sturtevant, WI (September 2013) – Andis Company, a leading manufacturer of animal grooming tools for professional and at-home consumers has selected three-year old Airedale Terrier, Zeppelin, a finished champion, as a canine model. His owner and groomer, Heather Roozee owns A Groomery in DeKalb, IL. The duo recently won Best in Show at the August All-American Grooming Show in Wheeling, IL and  will begin pursuing grand champion status.

“Heather and Zeppelin are fantastic  representatives of the Andis brand,” says Karen Formico, vice president of marketing at Andis. “They embody our unparalled quality and best-in-class standards.”

The wiry Airedale coat is hand stripped in accordance with the breed standard. Roozee uses the Pulse Ion Cordless Clipper at #30 for his paw pad trimming. To fluff his furnishings, she uses the 10” Andis Steel Comb and the Andis Large Pin Brush in an up and out motion to pull hair horizontal to the table.  

“I was grateful to be part of the Andis shoot,” says Roozee. “I’ve always been an Andis fan and use all their tools in my salon.”
