Great news! Chance’s surgery to remove the aural hematoma was a great success, and while they had him under, they did us a huge favour and neutered him! We’ve always suspected that part of his putziness derived from having too much, ahem, "manliness" without being able to use it. However, the vet has been hesitant up until now to put him under anesthesia because of his age and our lack of knowledge surrounding his past health history. But I guess they figured they might as well kill two birds with one stone…sorry, that was gross.

Anyways, we’re ecstatic that the procedure went well in spite of the less than cordial reception the clinic staff received from him. We are delighted to have him back home and anxious to see if his "loss" will result in a new found gentility. Doubtful, I know, but a girl (and her other dogs) can dream.
