We recently returned from the HH Backer’s Christmas trade
show which is held in Chicago every October. It’s considered a "must-go" show for
the pet industry and this year proved no exception. We always try to get our
booth set up quickly on the first day so we can take the train in the afternoon
(from Rosemont) to downtown Chicago to do a little shopping (we love the stores
on the Magnificent Mile), then search out the best restaurants for something
delicious to eat.  Very fun!

The three days following we’re literally run off our feet (comfy
shoes are as must) as there is so much to see (the show is HUGE… covering two floors).
Best of all we found some amazing
products that I can hardly wait to show you, but you’ll have to wait ‘til
December when our Winter issue comes out.

We loved our stay at the hip (and affordable) Aloft Hotel in Rosemont. Little sister to the W Hotel, the modern, well-appointed rooms were spacious with super-comfy beds while the lobby/lounge was equipped with a bar, pool table, games and lots of seating for socializing or networking. The free and convenient shuttle service ran every 30 mins and the drivers were friendly and helpful.
