Adorable Northern Dogs Receive Free Veterinary Care
Humane Society International/Canada and Chiots Nordiques help dogs in remote communities
The Humane Society International/Canada recently helped Chiots Nordiques in a mobile spay-neuter clinic for stray and roaming dogs. The two teams drove 16-hours north of Montreal to the Cree community of Chisasibi, where they admitted 93 animals, vaccinated 85, and sterilized 74 dogs (and even a few cats). Spay-neuter is of critical importance to controlling pet populations, especially in remote areas where veterinary services are not available. This is the sixth time that the two organizations teamed up to offer veterinary services to remote communities. Head to Humane Society International/Canada's website to see how you can help. But first, take a look at the unbelievably cute dogs they cared for!
