You may have heard of mobile dating app Tinder which boasts daily users of over 10 million. Now, in partnership with animal rescue organization Social Tees and the Barn at BBH, a training program for emerging advertising talents, Tinder is embracing an element of social consciousness in their business plan as they help abandoned dogs find new homes.

According to figures from the ASPCA, over 7 million animals are sent to shelters each year and the goal of the Tinder initiative is to raise awarness and find homes for some of these animals.

BBH Barn started adding animal dating profiles to the app with pictures, descriptions and their ages in human years. Within the first 24 hours more than 1,500 matches were made on the 10 dogs featured.

So if you're looking for that special someone on Tinder, you may end up finding unconditional love from one of the adoptable dogs.
