Check out our short film http://dawghead.com/menu.html to see why a dawghead is a truly unique and unusual approach to capturing the very essence, spirit and personality of your pet – a perfect keepsake to celebrate or memorialize your very best pal!

dawghead.com™ was founded and created by artist, Jennie Griffith. Jennie's interest, connection and love of animals came at a very early age. Her passion for animals resulted in a steady stream of animals in need being brought back home – lost or abandoned , wounded, wild or domesticated. Jennie currently has two wonderful rescue dogs that bring much amusement, fun and love to her life.

In starting dawghead.com™, Jennie has brought together her two of her strongest passions – dogs and art! For over thirty years years as professional freelance working artist, Jennie has been formally trained and has executed her skills working in many fields as an artist and educator. As an accomplished painter and illustrator, she has been called upon for her precise color matching skills as well as her extensive knowledge of various types of paint and their different properties for much of her career. Jennie worked as an independent contractor for many creative clients such as Hasbro, The Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, Learningsmith and several publishing houses. She taught both adults and children for many years at both The DeCordova Museum and the New England School of Art and Design while running a successful Faux painting business for many years. Her work has been exhibited and reviewed in newspapers and featured in magazines.

Jennie is happy to speak with you about any questions that you may have about the commission process and/or your potential portrait. She can be contacted at her studio @ 781-308-8097 or via email: info@dawghead.com.
