Mitchell was my oldest fur baby. We adopted him when he was about 8 weeks old. He was epileptic and had to take meds for it since he was a little pup. He was very sweet, loyal, smart, kind, and so loving. He was very protective and watched over those he loved. I loved that he was such a mommy's boy. We adopted our sweet little female mini chihuahua, Temperance, in April 2010. He fell head over heels in love with her that very day we brought her home. Congestive heart failure was the culprit. He went downhill fast within about 12 hours. He could barely stand. Couldn't walk. Couldn't control his bladder. And he was obviously in bad pain. We decided to let him go. I had the vet sedate him first so he would just fall asleep quietly then given the final lethal dose to send him over the rainbow bridge. The pain in my heart was almost unbearable and I couldn't stop crying. Hardest thing I've ever had to do second only to burying my dad. He's in my heart and part of my soul forever.
