sled dog dachshund

In her picture book debut, Laura Atkins introduces readers to Jasper, a dauntless dachshund determined to help a team of big dogs win the world’s biggest sled race.

“A dachshund could never win a big race like this,” his big brother interrupted. “It takes around nine days. Only big dogs can last that long.”

But Jasper is undeterred, despite the fact that he’s too small for every position. Hopping aboard the sled he uses his big spirit, and his big bark, to get his team over the finish line.

This fall, dog lovers of every size will root for Jasper and celebrate the creativity and confidence that help him lead his team to victory.
