Rocky had a rough start to life. When my step dad’s friend found her the conditions were unbelievable. She was chained up, sitting on a pile of dirt with no fur left on her body. She was going to be put down because she killed the neighbour’s chicken. My step dad decided to save her. Although she was safe, she was traumatized from every thing & was left with major aggression problems. But there was one simple solution that changed Rocky’s life forever. A child’s love. When Rocky was introduced to me she learned to trust, she learned to love. We bonded instantly. I was 4 when I met Rocky. We were best friends for 11 years. The day we put her down was the hardest day of my life. I was 15 & she was 18. I was the only one that would go in with her. I felt I owed it to her.I held her in my arms as she took her last breath.& I held her for hours after her last breath. It’s been 4 years & I still think about my girl everyday. She will always hold a very special place in my heart.
