This dog was my very own, self-assigned guard dog. No matter who it was trying to pick me up, if it wasn’t my mother or father, max would give them a problem, simply just because he would look out for me as a baby. His snag tooth on his lower jaw and smelly brown coat was everything to me as a child. He was an old grumpy man stuck in a dog’s body, but the goodness of his heart shone like a beacon
